Description

In Evidence Centered Design, assessment is all about collecting evidence from what students do, say, or create, and drawing inferences based on that evidence about what students know or can do. For assessment in project-based or maker-centered learning, educators must carefully design activities and data collection tools to capture quality evidence of learning. In this session, the Playful Journey Lab introduces design principles used to develop Beyond Rubrics, an embedded assessment toolkit for maker-centered classrooms, and give you the opportunity to try them out with a short design activity. We will also introduce you to a series of professional development activities you can use to continue the conversation with colleagues at your school or organization.
