Dr. Wiltrout describes how in professors Solomon and Martin’s Cell Biology class, Dr. Thornton created video animations to help students who are inexperienced in lab work to better understand experimental techniques and experimental design. Clickstream data harvested from biology courses shows that students are watching the optional online videos (sometimes multiple times) as well as using the optional problem sets.
