This webinar will showcase the experience of the Transforming Refugee Education Towards Excellence (TREE) program in applying the Design Thinking approach to develop effective and responsive teacher professional development solutions with educators and for educators.
Our speakers, who are TREE team members, will shed light on the process, challenges, and successes of using the innovative approach of Design Thinking to augment traditional instructional design processes. The team aims to provide stakeholders with insights into possible ways for providing teachers and learners with meaningful learning opportunities.
About TREE
The Transforming Refugee Education towards Excellence (TREE) program is a joint initiative of Save the Children and MIT J-WEL, implemented in Jordan in collaboration with the Jordanian Ministry of Education (MOE) and in partnership with Community Jameel, Dubai Cares, and Hikma Pharmaceuticals. Over a five-year period, TREE will engage teachers, principals, MOE representatives and other education professionals to co-design, prototype and test a new Teacher Professional Development (TPD) curriculum focusing on improving teacher occupational wellbeing and the quality of teaching practices in relation to creativity, innovation and learning resources.
