In this public webinar honoring Open Education Week, Curt Newton, Publication Director of MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW), will discuss the current state and future direction of OCW. Launched in 2001, OCW is a free and open-licensed online collection of materials from over 2,400 courses, representing the entire MIT curriculum, and used by many millions of curious learners and committed educators every year.

Open Education Week is a global event that seeks to raise awareness of free and open sharing in education and the benefits they bring to teachers and learners. Coordinated by the Open Education Consortium, the event showcases projects, resources, and ideas from around the world that demonstrate open education in practice.
