Course Design Workshop | MIT J-WEL

Course Design Workshop

J-WEL Course Design Workshop

Online - July 19-28, 2022

Are you planning to create a new course, or in the process of redesigning an existing one? Do you want to increase engagement and learning outcomes for students attending your class? Join us for an interactive workshop where you will have the chance to work on your course while being introduced to examples of course design, and tools to help you build a quality learning experience for your students. You will be hearing from MIT faculty and learning experts and interacting with an international community of educators. The workshop will introduce findings from the learning sciences, where you will have the opportunity to reflect on teaching practices and discuss how to integrate them into your course with moderators and peers. You will be offered opportunities to engage in hands-on activities to create prototypes of digital or face-to-face lesson content.

In addition to presentation and working sessions, there will be dedicated time to work on your course design to integrate some of the methods and practices used throughout the workshop. Presenters and experts at MIT will be available during the time for consultations and discussions.
