The Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab at MIT seeks to promote excellence and transformation in education globally.
J-WEL convenes a global community of collaborators to transform education across the world in a self-sustaining way. By collaborating with, advising, and sharing knowledge with educators everywhere, J-WEL aims to reach learners in the developing world, those most underserved by education, such as women and girls, a growing displaced population, and youth who need new knowledge and skills to thrive in tomorrow’s workforce.
J-WEL invites MIT Faculty collaboration in many ways, including through Educational Innovation Grants. In addition, MIT Faculty Advisory Committees guide our work. Faculty and other MIT experts also join our reserach and training efforts, serving as PIs and essential collaborators in the important work of shaping educational innovation across the world.
