What is LINC?

LINC began as the "Learning International Networks Consortium" in 2002, with the first gathering held in 2003. Today, LINC is a biennial conference that brings an international group of researchers and practitioners together to discuss how digital learning approaches, new insights from learning science, and emerging pedagogical approaches can provide quality education at scale, particularly in developing nations and emerging markets. Learn more about LINC

LINC 2019 provides a framework for a meaningful discussion about access, adoption, and application, allowing speakers and presenters to share their views and findings on the key technological, social, and cultural challenges we face in the twenty-first century. LINC participants share research in education, including technology-enabled educational innovations.

The program for LINC 2019 will be announced in the coming weeks. To get an idea of what you can expect at LINC, watch this video on learning initiatives for helping people in need from LINC 2016.

Who is invited?

LINC invites scholars, practitioners, students, corporate executives, government officials, foundation professionals, EdTech companies, and startups to gather and share their research. Accomplished leaders and educators across the globe are selected to speak on and highlight their personal experiences in developing digital learning technologies, pedagogical approaches, and other initiatives. LINC attendees are encouraged to network, seek collaborations, and present their own research and experiences during the conference. Seven international LINC conferences have been held to date. LINC 2016 had more than 250 participants from over 30 countries; its theme was Digital Inclusion: Transforming Education through Technology.” The upcoming LINC Conference will bring together the LINC community with members of the J-WEL community for the first time.
