Share your educational technology innovation at Digital Universities Week_US

During Digital Universities Week_US, coming up May 9-13, 2002, we'll be offering some participants the opportunity to share their educational technology innovations at the opening day innovation showcase. The call for proposals opens today, and we'll announce the winning submissions in April. Proposals for the showcase are welcomed from US universities and J-WEL member organizations worldwide. Here's more from the call for proposals:

As we look to the new era of education in a world adjusting to the ongoing presence of Covid, we seek to showcase examples of educational technology innovations that point to the best of what education can be.

We are looking for innovations based on sound practice and applicable to many contexts.

This showcase will highlight innovations that make thoughtful use of technology to break ground on new approaches to education, go beyond digital enactments of traditional pedagogies, and have clear evidence of effectiveness. Innovations that broaden access to educational opportunities, not simply serve the already well-served. Innovations that provide new approaches to certifying and recognizing educational achievement. Innovations that, in short, challenge us to reconsider the possibilities of technology and education.

Entries will be judged by THE and the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab at MIT, and the shortlisted institutions will then have the opportunity to join us at THE Digital Universities Week US for an evening reception on 9 May 2022 to showcase their project and network with university and industry leaders before the winners are announced. The winners will then be invited on stage for an interview with the judging panel to discuss their entry in more detail.
