George Westerman is a Principal Research Scientist with the MIT Sloan Initiative on the Digital Economy. His research examines the transformative impact of digital innovation on companies and workers. In addition to leading the MIT IDE research portfolio on digital transformation, he has conducted award-winning research on the changing demands for skills in today’s economy. Westerman also directs two executive education programs for the MIT Sloan School of Management and works regularly with senior executive teams around the world. This combination of academic insights, teaching experience, and industry relationships make Westerman uniquely qualified to lead J-WEL’s efforts to transform the nature of workplace learning.
