Angela Belcher is the James Mason Crafts Professor of Biological Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. Belcher is a member of the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. Belcher’s work focuses on evolving organisms to build new materials and devices for clean energy, electronics, the environment, and medicine. She is currently developing interactive hands-on, minds-on curriculum for kindergarten through 5th grade based on MIT undergraduate curriculum and the philosophy of “mens et manus.” She is also the co-Chair of the pK-12 Action Group at MIT.
